Week 11 Part A: Marketing with Twitter, LinkedIn, and more
This week is to research into a variety of different social media platforms and how they might be able to help me and FINTAL Recruitment. There are many different services on Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and Instagram that can be utilized and help you in building a brand from scratch, or building on a brand that is already in progress.
After conducting my own research, I believe that LinkedIn
would be the primary marketing site for my Finance and Accounting
Recruitment company. LinkedIn is a platform that is primarily used for
professional networking and career development, and this is exactly who my
target audience will be for my business; People that are looking for new job
opportunities and people looking to hire new financial talent.
LinkedIn is the most relevant to my business and I would
connect with as many financial professionals as possible as most companies will
always have a finance talent need at some point, I just need to make sure I am
at the front of their mind when this time arises. I would also post on a
regular basis, I would post interesting quotes, links to articles from
companies such as Forbes or Nasdaq, however, the most important would be for me
to post and share my open roles I will be looking to place. I will need to make
them attractive and enticing to potential applicants.
When researching Twitter, I'm not sure this would be a great tool to utilize for my business. When i was doing the research into how to utilize this platform, i found that most advice was that Twitter is a place where fans, users, and clients get to talk about your brand, also publicly, which is a great opportunity for brands to knit strong relationships with their audience. However, this is also where a lot of rants about brands, products, and services happen, which essentially means that anyone can publicly share information about your brand and seriously hurt your credibility. This platform is less easy to control meaning you have to make sure the message and brand is on point to expand and please your target market.
When it comes to researching social media platforms/social influencers, i feel this would be a good tool to have for my business, but it wold not be my main form of marketing. When it comes to Instagram, I feel this needs to be more personal and relatable. I will of course post job vacancies and posts regarding our services and who we are. I would like to post pictures of the team I will eventually have and a little about each person. I would also like to post quotes and financial articles and facts which will interest my audience, however, the tools on here cannot be utilized as much as on a platform such as LinkedIn, due to my finance and accounting industry.
Upon reflection of my research into marketing on Social Networking Sites,
I believe that LinkedIn by far would be the most useful for my business. It is
the perfect target audience and nearly every single person on the social site
will either need financial talent or need a new job at some point in their
career. LinkedIn’s whole purpose is for professional individuals to network and
connect which is exactly what I need to grow my business.
Overall, I understand that some social networking sites are
more useful depending on your business choice and industry. It is also
important to understand that the way the world works is forever changing and
the speed in increasing, so it is important to keep that in mind and become
adaptable whenever and wherever you need to be to succeed and attract
customers.
I have created a Business Twitter Account:
https://twitter.com/FINTALRecruiter
And i already have a Instagram Account:
https://www.instagram.com/fintalrecruitment/
I learned quite a lot about LinkedIn's features like event organizing and joining a group from your post. LinkedIn does seem like the best match for your recruitment business. I wish you all the best!
ReplyDeleteHello, Kate, I liked that you've gone as far as selecting LinkedIn as the best social media for your business. I hope you will share the idea with the rest of the class so that we can also learn it.
ReplyDeleteGreat pointing out that you would benefit from LinkedIn. You are right almost every business needs some type of financial support in their company. You would be surprised, I have heard about people posting jobs on twitter and getting a lot of good candidates. You might want to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate!
ReplyDeleteYou made an excellent point that Linkedln would be a wise choice for your business, but I would look into Twitter because it does offer some groups that will help with word-of-mouth conversation.
Cheers!
