Week 15 Part A: What we Learn from Google Analytics

This week I will be researching and looking into Google analytics and how the features may benefit my business. Before I have even looked into this, I definitely believe that most applications that analyze information will be a benefit to my business as I will always have a lot of data, candidates and clients in various locations and industries, so it will be interesting to see what will work for me and what might not.

When looking at google analytics, the feature that I believe would be of least interest to my business would be the Integrations. This might be because right now, I do not have any systems that I would integrate, or any specific ad requirements, but this may change as the business grows and expands.

With that said, I wanted to concentrate on the other 5 features as I believe they will dramatically increase efficiency within my business.

1. Analytics Intelligence This is the ability to get fast answers to questions about my analytics data, uncover insights about how my business is performing, and tap into sophisticated modeling capabilities. This feature will allow me to become aware of key data and any new trends or other opportunities that i should be aware of. This is clearly a positive for my business as this will allow me to keep ahead of the trends and potentially connect with clients in need of hiring candidates in the market.

2. Reporting - This allows me to understand how customers are interacting with my site and apps, and easily share insights across my organization with a variety of reporting tools. This is extremely useful to my business as I will be working with many candidates and clients across a variety of industries and geographical locations. Being able to analyze the reports should allow me to tailor my sites and apps to improve interactions.

3. Data Analysis and Visualization - This feature provides many ways to access, organize, and visualize my data to suit my business needs. Again, this is extremely important as I will have a huge database full of information, however, this will allow me to customize my data with advanced filters to suit what I am looking for, rather than looking at data which may not apply to me.

4. Data Collection and Management - This feature will help me organize and manage my data. Similarly to the above feature, this will allow me to import interaction data from any internet connected third party system, allowing me to access as much data as I need to help provide more efficient results.

5. Data Activation - This feature will allow me to make smarter marketing decisions informed by my data. Not only does this feature alert me to unexpected events or metrics, but it also helps me to predict valuable users and actions and which users I should re-engage with and eventually contribute to the increase in sales and customers.

Overall, I believe that Google Analytics for my business will be a great tool to benefit from. My business relies on user experience and data analytics to increase my productivity and efficiency as i do not have a physical location.
